Us

A certain someone who hasn't seen us "in about a million years" asked me to post a recent picture of Roger and myself. Here's a couple of them....

This first one was taken after we started home from Tawni's. We were on our way north and stopped at a place where you could walk up a nice easy trail for a view of Mt. McKinley. As you can see behind us, it was not very clear that day, so there was no view of THE mountain (although we could see lots of others), but it was a nice "leg stretcher".

This second picture was taken at Barkerville, BC many days later. We visited this little gold mining ghost town with Byron and Sharon Gerlach when we took a month long fishing trip to BC back in September of 1973, shortly after Roger had gotten out of the Navy. That long ago day the place was pretty much shut down for the season, but now it stays open until the end of September. I wanted to stop there last year, but Roger was headed home and he didn't want to take any side trips (it's 51 miles one way out there off the main highway). He promised me that the next trip we could go, so I held him to it :) There will be more about this place later, but here's the picture of us.

You guys look just like you did last time I saw you, way back in the previous millenium.

I believe aging is just a state of mind, and since my mind refuses to grow up....

But I have to say, you haven't changed much yourself :)
