The Towns Along the Way: Fairbanks -- Visitor Information Center

We parked in a parking lot in front of this church, across the river from the Visitor Information Center. Again, lots of flowers - a park-like setting on both sides of the river. We crossed the river on a walking bridge, and enjoyed looking at the displays and monuments outside the center.
This plaque by the fountain (picture below this one) gave some history about Fairbanks.
This fountain was in the park area outside the visitor center, and depicts a native Alaskan man, woman and child.
