The Kenai Weekend, Part 2: Family... Friends... Fishing...

These are just a few miscellaneous pictures from the campground --

Kyler found out he could ride Grampy's bike, so then proceeded to let us know he needed a bigger one himself :) The seat had to be adjusted a bit, but he had a good time riding it around the parking lot.

I don't know about other states, but when you clean a fish in Oregon you "dispose properly" of your fish guts and carcass after you filet them- and you certainly don't put them back in the water! In Alaska, however, that's exactly what you do with them. You give them a heave back out in the river so the smell doesn't attract the bears. When the rivers get low, the remains end up not too far out. The kids were having a great time "catching" them and reeling them in. Yuck!
We got a picture of the kids and Roger on a similar log last year with Mt. McKinley in the background. When Tori saw this log in the river, she just had to have their picture taken on it.
