While we were at the campground at Crooked Creek an old Navy buddy, Stan Koleski from Colorado, came by on Friday morning for a few minutes (we'd made arrangements ahead of time to meet), then came back Saturday. He was in Alaska with some guys from his work on a fishing trip. He sent them off without him on Saturday and spent the day with us. We had a great time! Before going out and exploring further abroad, the morning was spent fishing -- first things first, ya know!! Stan got the idea to put Kyler up on his shoulders so they could wade out in the river instead of standing on the bank. When you put a tall kid on the shoulders of a very tall guy, you can really get some height going!!
And of course, little sister didn't want to be left out, so Roger put Tori on his and they did some "double-decker" fly fishing -- Stan & Roger would cast the line, then hand the pole up to the kid on their shoulders and let them reel the line in. The kids had a ball!!
And Tori hooked a salmon! Grampy took the pole so she wouldn't lose it and...
...carefully waded back to shore and set her down on the bank. She did a good job fighting it - with a little help from her Grampy :)

Or maybe I should tap it with this stick....
Roger finally had to do the honors - when you're only 4, it's not easy to smack it hard enough!And here she is, actually touching her catch :)
