Whoops! One More for Alaska...
I was planning to put these pictures in the "Miscellaneous" post, but forgot. They are so much a picture of "traditional Alaska" that I wanted to be sure to share them. Alaska has lots of water -- they lay claim to more lakes than Minnesota, besides all their rivers. As with lakes in most places, people like to build houses on the water. What is different in Alaska is that, instead of everyone having a boat at their lakeside dock, they have a different kind of transportation! This is a common sight....
