Snow Today!

It doesn't happen real often, but once in awhile we DO get snow around here! We get it more often up at our place than they do in town, but today there is snow clear to the beach, according to the weather alert that came through my e-mail from the local newspaper a bit ago. These pictures were all taken while the snow was coming down pretty heavily, so that's what the white streaks are.

The snow on the porch steps... We've gotten around an inch of snow in about 20 minutes.

For anyone who has never been to our house, we live 1/2 mile up on the side of a (small) mountain and are in the middle of the woods. Consequently, our "views" are all of trees, except we can see across the river valley when we look out the living room windows that are at the end of the house. Today, however, that "view" is just white - we can't even see the mountain across the river at this point because of the clouds between here and there.
