During the last couple of weeks a friend who wanted to salvage some of the roof metal came and pulled some of it off of one side, then Roger took off some more.
Earlier in the week, the right side was demolished back to end of the original barn. Roger had hoped to use some of the timbers that were in there, but after looking at them and realizing they were so rotten it was surprising the whole thing hadn't already come down, he scrapped that idea!
The years worth of accumulated "stuff" that was still inside was hauled out and put in a dumpster, and this afternoon, after smashing as much as he could with the excavator, cables were hooked to the backhoe, excavator and pickup, and it was pulled down into a big pile that will be shoved over the bank and burned after pulling out the rest of the metal roofing.
The front wall didn't think it wanted to come down, so it had to have some encouragement :)
